Our Story

When Carla, founder of www.nappycakes.ie, discovered she was expecting her first baby in late 2007 she began to browse the web for unique baby items and discovered the 'diaper cake'.  Her first thought was 'wow' and her second one was 'I would love to create these!' and so began the journey...

Over the years Carla has developed a beautiful collection of baby gifts including nappy cakes, baby bouquets (yes, those little flowers are baby clothes!) baby gift baskets and our range keeps growing.   She also realised that it was important to recognise the excitement of a baby for new dads resulting in a beautiful range of quirky and fun gifts that any new father would be delighted to receive.

In 2020 we launched our sweet treat range which is a selection of handmade chocolate bouquets and towering boxes of sweet treats.  We also added sweet candy cakes to our range which are perfect for just about every occasion and celebration you can imagine.

I guess we're not the only ones that think our products are amazing.  We have sent thousand of our gifts all over Ireland and to the four corners of the world and have received amazing feedback from our customers.  We want every new parent to have the 'wow' factor of a gift that has been handmade especially for them...after all it is a big moment!

We believe that if something is worth doing it is worth doing right.  As such, we only use premium quality products in all of our gifts and careful attention to detail is paramount.  We design each new product with the same enthusiasm and pride as we did our first.  Every tiny detail is carefully considered. If we wouldn't like to receive it ourselves then it doesn't make the website!

In 2009 we launched our wholesale gift range and we welcome inquiries from anyone who wishes to add our beautiful range to their stores.
